Julian Jordanov was born on December 16, 1965 in Lovech, Bulgaria. In 1986 he graduated from the Art School "Ilia Petrov" in Sofia, and in 1995 he graduated from the National Academy of Arts "Nikolai Pavlovich" in Sofia, majoring in "Graphics", in the class of Prof. Petar Chuklev. Julian works in the field of graphics and bookplates. The artist has had more than 40 participations in the most prestigious world graphic forums, competitions and biennials for graphics and bookplates in China, Turkey, Japan, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Belgium, France, Spain and other countries. The artist has had more than 40 participations in the most prestigious world graphic forums, competitions and biennials for graphics and bookplates in China, Turkey, Japan, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Belgium, France, Spain and other countries. He is very famous among ex-libris collectors from all around the world and has won over 15 different awards, some of which: an Honorary Diploma and the Award of the President of the Association of American Graphic Artists Mr. Martin Levine of the 8th International Biennial of Graphics in Varna in 1995, First Prize of the First International Ex Libris Competition in Ankara in 2003, First Prize of the 32nd FISAE EXLIBRIS EXHIBITION in Beijing, China (2008), Special Prize of the Museum of Graphic Art at the 33rd FISAE EXLIBRIS EXHIBITION in Istanbul (2010). Julian has won many Honorary Diplomas at prestigious forums in Gniezno-Poland, Lefkada-Greece, Sint-Niklaas-Belgium, Ankara-Turkey, Ourense-Spain, Special Prize at the 4th International Exhibition of Miniatures in London in 2000 and many others.
