Sylvia Stratieva was born in 1966 in Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. In 1985 she graduated from the College of Fine Arts in Plovdiv and then studied at the Technical University in Sofia, graduating with a “Masters of Computing” and “Industrial Design”. Sylvia Stratieva has accomplished 12 solo exhibitions of paintings and drawings and has participated in many national and international group exhibitions. She is the winner of international awards for painting and she has numerous publications in prestigious international contemporary realism publications.

The images of two of her paintings, laser-engraved on encapsulated nickel microfiche, are included in The Lunar Codex, "The Polaris Collection" and placed on the moon forever as part of earth's cultural heritage.
Currently she lives and works in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has paintings in private collections in Bulgaria, Poland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Canada and the USA. Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
